Yesterday was Wifey Wednesday. I forgot about it because of Thanksgiving but decided I would post about the topic now. Wifey Wednesday is where Sheila talks marriage! She introduces a subject, and then you all comment, either by creating your own blog post and linking up, or by leaving a comment here.So here's my quandary: What do you do about Christmas with your hubby or significant other? What do I want for Christmas? What about you? What do you do with your spouse for Christmas? Any advice I should know? Just leave a comment, or go write your own blog post and then come back here and link up in the comments section!
Here's what we do...We used to buy alot of gifts for each other, do stocking stuffers and the whole thing. Well, as the years pass you don't need alot of stuff. So, now what we decided to do is to pick out stuff for each other and try to keep it at $100.00 each. We normally tell each other what we'd like to have, then decide on what we are actually getting. Most times it's what we want. I really don't need alot anymore because I don't really go out clothes shopping much but I do like to read books or do my scrapbooking. So, anything relating to that usually comes up on my list. My husband normally has to tell me what he'd like because he doesn't mention much of anything all through the year.
We also take our grandson out shopping for each other and we tell each other what to try to steer him toward. Last year I told my husband to get him to get me a pair of sterling hoop earrings. Figured you couldn't go wrong with that. My husband had me steer him toward a pair of pajama pants. Otherwise you never know what you might get. My husband ended up with Sponge Bob pajama pants but it's better than what he might have gotten. My son, my grandson's dad ended up with a pull on snowman hat with a carrot nose sticking out of it. He looked liked he could have been a unicorn. See what I mean when I say it could have been worse? LOL. It's all fun.
